Greenwood Athletics is exploring an opportunity to join a new athletic conference for the 2026-2027 school year. We have been invited to join the newly formed Hoosier Legends Conference. A final decision has not been made at this time. Greenwood Schools will be providing an opportunity to learn more and ask questions about the opportunity to realign athletic conferences. An informational overview of the benefits and challenges will be held Wednesday, October 9th from 5:30-6:30 at the Administration Building .
Grace Nuhfer Wins Silver! Paralympian and Greenwood graduate Grace Nuhfer qualified this summer to compete on Team USA in swimming in Paris at the 2024 Paralympics. On Thursday, Grace won the silver medal in the 100m butterfly! She is a 2021 graduate of GHS and currently swims for the University of Akron.
Greenwood Leads County in IREAD Scores! Congratulations to our elementary teachers and staff who helped our students learn to read so well! For the 2023-24 school year Greenwood Schools had a higher percentage of students reading at or above grade level on the IREAD-3 than any other county school!
We would like to share with our families the following exciting news. For the upcoming 2024-25 school year, all students will be provided with a free breakfast and a free lunch. The district food service department has worked with the state to enable all students to receive one complete breakfast and one complete lunch each day.

Congratulations to our robotics teams across the district! Northeast and GMS each made it to the semi-state competition round. On December 16th, our high school team won the Think Award; this means their engineering portfolio was outstanding and one of the best at the competition. The middle school team held their ground in the top five all day at the same competition event.
