Superintendent Dr. Terry Terhune joined WISH-TV's Daybreak to talk about a strong start to the 2026–27 school year. He shared feedback from a successful first day, highlighted the district-wide professional development day that brought together every employee — teachers, principals, instructional assistants, custodians, and grounds staff — and announced a new after-school STEM program for students in grades 3–8, funded through a STEM integration grant from the Indiana Department of Education and Project Lead the Way. He also encouraged families to stay involved, from volunteering to asking kids what they learned each day.
