Attached are the 3 images to help you for student drop-off/pick-up. Nothing has changed, but we wanted to share again in case you have missed them.

Option 1: Student drop-off/pick-up on the east side (football field side of the school)
Option 2: Student drop-off/pick-up in the front of the building.
3rd Visual is for afternoon pick-up once the traffic backs up beyond the crosswalk. This option will close approximately 5 minutes before dismissal each day.

As always, thanks for your allowing extra time, being patient, and following regular traffic rules and staff directions to help everyone remain safe in the parking lots!

GHS seniors and families are invited to a FREE FAFSA Completion Workshop on Tuesday, February 10 from 5:30–7:30 PM in the GHS IMC. Families may arrive anytime during the session to receive step-by-step help from INvestEd experts while completing the FAFSA at studentaid.gov. School devices and Wi-Fi will be available. Please enter through the GHS main entrance and follow signs to the IMC.

Final Exams begin on Wednesday, 12/17, and run through Friday, 12/19. Please see the link below for the full schedule:

We will be hosting a Financial Aid and FAFSA Completion Night for seniors and their families on Thursday, October 9th at 5:30 PM in the GHS Auditorium.

Our partners from INvestEd Indiana will provide a short presentation on the financial aid process and then offer hands-on help to complete the FAFSA.

*Parents please take a snapshot of your child’s schedule, print one out at home, or use an electronic one to follow your child’s schedule to meet the teachers. Student Ambassadors will be in the school, as well, to help you find classrooms
*Teachers will cover, among other things, a class syllabus, contact information, class expectations, and Canvas expectations.
*Counselors and administrators will be available in the main office and hallways.
*Parents of students in study hall, as well as all parents, are encouraged to tour the building and talk with counselors and administrators.
*Mrs Laug, Director of Guidance, held the Senior College Application Jump Start earlier in the summer and we will send out her recording and information rather than have her repeat her presentation.
*Please visit GHS on Tuesday (8/5) to meet the teachers!

It was great to see so many of you at Freshmen Orientation this evening. Thanks for taking time to tour the high school and listen to the various speakers to help engage in your child’s education.

March 11 - Trivia Night Trivia Night GHS students & parents can enjoy a great evening of Trivia at GHS on March 11. Mr. Williams will be the MC, and teams of 4 maximum can earn great prizes while enjoying refreshments. *All proceeds will go toward good works organized by the Service Club.

The Lilly Endowment Scholarship Application is now open. This competitive scholarship provides FULL TUITION, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis, leading to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. 3 scholarships will be awarded for students in Johnson County. Mrs. Laug will host an information session about the Lilly Scholarship on Friday, 8/9 during PowerHour 2 in the College and Career Center. Please see your email for more details.

Important Upcoming Dates: *Freshmen Orientation at 7 pm on Wednesday, July 24th in the Auditorium (Doors will open at 6 pm). *GHS will be open for students to walk their schedules on Thursday, July 25th from 8 am to 11 am. *First Day of school for students is Wednesday, July 31st!

Office hours at GHS this summer will be Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 12 pm. Have a great summer!
