During the school year,  daily announcements are updated by 7:30 a.m. each school day. Video Announcements are posted at approximately 9:15 a.m. after the broadcast team has produced the daily show. GHS teachers are responsible for showing or reading announcements to their FLEX classes on PowerHour days and to their Period 4 classes on Wednesdays.

This week is College and Career Go! Week, and students are encouraged to dress up for Spirit Days. Tomorrow is College Day. Wear your favorite college gear. The first period class with the highest percentage of students dressed in college gear will win free donuts on Wednesday. Wednesday will be Career Day so dress like your future profession. Thursday will be Military Appreciation Day so wear camo or your favorite military branch t-shirt. Friday will be Green and Gold Day so show your Woodmen pride. Plus, you can participate in Career Bingo in guidance on Friday during PowerHour.

On Saturday, the girls soccer team defeated Speedway 3-0. A big shutout goes to the defense and Bre Wheatley. Kendyl Farmer scored 2 goals, and Emily Metzger scored a goal. The girls are back in action at Perry meridian tonight at 6 p.m.

See You at the Pole is a national event where students gather to pray at their schools. Please join FCA on Wednesday at 7 a.m. in front of the school to pray for our country, community, and school.

Students, something went wrong with a camera or at the photo processing plant. If you posed on school picture day and did not receive either a package you ordered or a proof of your school pictures, your image was probably one of that affected. Mrs. Green has mailed out letters to all parents of students the school does not have pictures of with information about posing on Retake Day next week. Listen to announcements for more information.

Lady Legacy is hosting a fall décor event on Friday during PowerHour. Join the fun and make a personalized piece to take with you. See Mrs. Senac if you have questions.

Service Club will host Trick or Treat for UNICEF on Oct. 27 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. As you meet with your clubs over the next couple of weeks, talk about what activity your group can provide for this Halloween-themed event. Sponsors will receive more information as the date nears.

Do you know what you want to do after high school? Several local businesses and military representatives will be set up in the main gym today during PowerHour. Plan to visit the different stations to see what paths interest you.
