Note:  generally, your parent access id is your student's username followed by a lowercase p and the parent access password is generally your student's password followed by a lowercase p (e.g. 810000p 123Abcp).
If your student was not a GWS student in the 2016-17 school year, you must complete the New Student Pre-Registration.

During the 2016-17 school year, did you know………….
  • the Greenwood Community School Corporation was only one of twenty-three school districts in the state to be awarded an “A” by the Indiana Department of Education?
  • the Greenwood Community School Corporation was visited by the External Review Team from AdvancED and earned accreditation for another five year term?
  • for a 5th year in a row, lunch prices have not changed due to strong fiscal management of our lunch program?
  • school district cash balances have grown, enabling significant raises for the staff and providing for a solid financial foundation for now and the future?

  • the school district K - 12 continued its strong relationship with the M.A. Rooney Foundation in helping critically examine student data?

We are currently accepting applications for K-12th grade transfer students for the 2017-18 school year.

For 2017-18, a grade level will be closed to out of district transfer students when the following average class sizes are met:

Kindergarten/1st grade = 19
2nd grade/3rd grade = 23
4th grade/5th grade = 27
Middle School
6th grade through 8th grade = 325 per grade level
High School
9th grade through 12th grade = 325 per grade level

NOTE: this is NOT an online application and you MUST PRINT and SIGN this application and deliver to the Superintendent's Office at 605 West Smith Valley Road, Greenwood. SHS-RGB 1 To protect students and staff members, the School Board requires an inquiry into the personal background of each applicant the Superintendent recommends for employment.

• Candidates will be required to complete and pay for an expanded criminal history check and an expanded child protection index check.
• Teacher and administrator candidates will also be required to complete and pay for a license verification from each state wherein they have taught and resided.
